Falling behind on the Blog

This blog to me was a little added bonus for me, it was a chance for me to put down extra thoughts I missed on the BgoesV Vlog. But I am always so busy so I have been neglecting this lately..

I am very excited with the change in my attitude and health over the past few weeks… I am enjoying the Vegan Lifestyle so much. Right now I am about to enjoy some Rice soaked in Vegetable Broth!!! I never even knew they made Vegetable Broth until now!!!

BGV – Day #10

My First Week Animated Gif

So I have decided to do an animated gif each week so if there is any change people can point it out to me….

Here is my first one:

Man I am a slacker

Sorry I have been so busy to simply post an update here on the BLOG… but I feel great, I am about to weigh myself in a little bit and then I will have an update for you. On a side note, I am making some Vegan Egg Salad tonight, if Walmart or HyVee in town sells Eggless Mayonaise…

Here is the recipe below:

  • 1 ½ pounds tofu, firm
  • ½ cup eggless mayonnaise (Nasoya Nayonnaise is my favorite!)
  • 2 red bell peppers, chopped finely
  • 4 scallions (white and green parts), chopped finely
  • 1 small carrot, finely shredded
  • 3 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 stalks celery, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp. onion granules
  • ¼ tsp. turmeric
  • 4 tsp. pickle relish
  • 1 ½ Tbsp. prepared mustard
  • 1 ½ tsp. sea salt
  • 1 ½ tsp. garlic powder
  • Black pepper, to taste

In a large bowl, mash tofu with a fork or potato masher (alternatively, you may wish to finely cube the tofu). Add remaining ingredients and mix well. The resulting savory treat is wonderful as a sandwich spread, served on crackers, or as a side salad.

So that sounds tasty, but let me see if I can get all the ingredients!!

I will talk to you later LOL  Watch for the Vlog Tonight!

BGV – Day #7

On the trail again…

I have just found that I can’t get enough trail mix for breakfast.  I am not sure what it is, but it seems to give me more energy and really helps me to get through the day.

Today’s subject is a little touchy, but it needs to be addressed… so basically my body is starting to ‘get rid’ of the toxins in it.  So that means a lot more toilet time for yours truly..  To help you with this process, I recommend fiber and water….

Fiber just helps make the experience a little more regular and a little less sparatic..  believe me, your body is going to have a lot of toxins to get rid of at first… and you are going to be like, wow this seems like more than I ate..  That is because it is… what you will soon be getting rid of is all the stuff that has been hanging out in your body…

I heard that when Elvis died.. he had like 10 pounds of poop impacted in his colon…. imagine your body is like a sink… have you ever pulled out a pipe in the sink because it drains slower, and then realize there is all this hair and soap scum on the walls of the pipe..

Well just to be straight forward… your butthole is like this too LOL…  You can be pooping and think you are all cleared out, and you have more and more just building up along the walls.  There are cleansing things you can do once a year, which I really recommend… you will see ana amzing difference…

Sorry to talk about poop so much, but hey, if you go Vegan you are gonna see a lot more of it!  But a lot healthier and less stinky if you ask me..

Until next time..

Millions of Peaches, Peaches for Me…

You know what?  As I enter day three of this 30 day vegan endeavor, and as I eat my breakfast of peaches,  I am reminded how much I love fruit and vegetables!  When you are a kid you eat school lunch all the time, but you know they always complain about how many vegetables there are.  However the government makes the schools put the vegetables there because they are important… and then we grow up and we view vegetables as one of those “forced to do scenarios” like not drinking until you are 21 and smoking I guess.  Basically our body tells us to rebel, because not eating vegetables goes against everything your parents and people told you growing up.

If you are just reading this and are not a vegan or vegetarian let me ask you, when was the last time you just willingly ate vegetables?  Went through the drive-in of a fastfood joint and ordered just a salad?   Or sat there watching a football game and munched on some carrot sticks?  I think it’s weird that Chips have become the norm for a snack fest during like the superbowl…  How about this year when you put out your Superbowl food for a party if you have one, you put out a plate of vegetables…

I will bet you, a lot of them will disappear first… PEOPLE LIKE VEGETABLES… they just don’t willingly go out and pursue them..

Help play vegetable/fruit matchmaker…  you will be surprised..
